Occasional furniture forming a barber's chair, Empire period - Return from Egypt. Decorated with caryatids, palmettes, mask and busts of Egyptian women in original mercury-gilt bronze. It opens with 3 drawers in the lower part surmounted by a niche and with two side drawers. The molded and hollowed black marble top moves to reveal a mercury mirror that is adjustable in height and tilts. Rests on a sculpted and patinated bronze-style base. Excellent condition. Dimensions closed: 49 x 40 x 106 cm.
