Pair Of Mid-century Italian Bedside Tables By Sormani
A finely balanced pair of Italian bedside tables designed by Claudio Salocchi for Sormani, c.1960s. A striking example of mid century modern design, these sculptural nightstands feature their original inset glass tops, resting over single-drawer cases with elevated gallery backs. The rich tones of the rosewood veneer contrast elegantly with the polished brass hardware, and the pedestal bases with cross-shaped legs give the design a distinctly architectural quality.
Both tables have been sympathetically restored and are in excellent condition. The original glass panels show minor surface scratches and one small chip, as shown. A refined and functional addition to any mid century or contemporary bedroom.
