A beautifully refined French Louis XVI style octagonal occasional table dating to circa 1890, elegantly crafted in rich mahogany with contrasting bird’s eye maple panels, a striking rouge marble top, and finely cast gilt bronze ormolu mounts. Sophisticated in both form and detail, this elegant piece works wonderfully as a side table, lamp table, or statement accent piece within a classic living room, bedroom, or refined interior setting.

The octagonal top is inset with a superb rouge marble slab, displaying rich deep red tones with natural pale veining throughout, framed by a warm bird’s eye maple border that adds contrast and visual softness. The combination of marble, figured veneers, and ormolu detailing creates the luxurious balance so associated with late 19th century French decorative furniture.

The frieze is adorned with finely cast gilt bronze ormolu mounts, each panel beautifully framed with bird’s eye maple inlay and classical decorative mounts, adding elegance without excess.
