Jules ROUFFET was born in 1862 and died in 1931.
He belonged to the French School artistic style. He was mainly active during the modern period. He was a pupil of Jean Paul Laurens.
He took part in the organization of the Musée de l'Armée. He was awarded medals in 1890, 1894 and 1900.
His main works:
Jules Rouffet is best known for his cavalry charge, British cavalry charge at the Battle of Mons, August 23, 1914... all illustrations of his favorite subjects: great battles... You'll have to visit the Château de Compiègne, Musée de l'armée, Paris, to admire one of his works.
