Artist: Balbino Giner
Balbino Giner (1910-1976), originally from Valenciennes and a Prix de Rome winner, settled in Roussillon in the 1940s, where he created and produced the majority of his work. He died in 1976 and is buried in the Collioure cemetery, not far from the great Castilian poet Antonio Machado. This double-sided watercolor depicts a group of dancers and musicians on one side and a group of bathers on the beach on the other. Large format watercolor. Framed: Height 110cm, Width 89cm.
