Zinc And Wood Veneer Bathtub
Antique bathtub with zinc bowl and wood veneer exterior. The basin has a classic oval shape, highlighted by a rolled upper rim. The bottom has a drain hole. This type of mobile sanitary fixture was typical of the interiors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, before the widespread use of fixed bathrooms and enameled cast-iron sanitaryware. The use of zinc ensured watertightness and lightness, while the wooden cladding allowed for aesthetic integration with bedroom or bathroom furniture.
