The Bassanello factory, active in Civita Castellana between 1930 and 1978, holds an important place in the history of Italian ceramics. Located in a region where the ceramic tradition dates back to the Faliscan and Roman eras, it is part of a long-standing tradition of artisanal craftsmanship.Under the leadership of the Misciattelli family and specialized artisans, Bassanello developed a production of ceramics and majolica characterized by the purity of its forms, the quality of its glazes, and remarkable technical mastery.
Throughout the 20th century, the factory collaborated with Italian artists and decorators, helping to renew the aesthetic language of Italian ceramics.
