Small Chest Of Drawers, Richly Inlaid, 18th Century Italy
A charming little chest of drawers in walnut, rosewood, palissander and native wood veneer, natural or stained, inlaid with lozenges, quartefeuille friezes, dotted motifs, etc., opening with two front drawers in front, the square-section uprights terminate in four tapered sheath feet, the whole with feigned fluting (accidents and restorations).

With its straight lines and geometric motifs inspired by Greco-Roman antiquity, our chest of drawers is to be compared with the works of the workshop of Giuseppe Maggiolini (1738-1814), who was Milan's leading cabinetmaker at the end of the 18th century.
