Beautiful square Bauhaus-style game box, Germany, circa 1920. Blackened wood side trim.
Chessboard in light and dark wood (maple and mahogany). Maple Nine Men's Morris / milling game board with plum wood inlays.
Interior with antique backgammon board in green, red and white felt. Brass hinges and latch.
Restored condition, hand-polished with shellac.
