Pair of hard‑paste porcelain figurines, hand‑decorated, depicting pastoral scenes with children and domestic animals. Each group stands on a naturalistic rocaille base, typical of German productions from the second half of the 18th century.
The compositions, poses and drapery treatment are directly inspired by the celebrated 18th‑century models created by Peter Melchior for the Höchst manufactory.
Attribution: these are copies produced by an English manufactory, faithfully reproducing the original Höchst models and the variants later disseminated in the Meissen taste during the 18th century.
Condition: excellent overall condition: fresh colors, no visible chips, slight signs of wear consistent with age.
