Lot Of 8 Crystal Glasses, Known As The “ss” Model By Baccarat Or Saint-louis, From The Restoration Period
Set of eight crystal wine glasses featuring the characteristic decoration of the “SS” model, recognizable by the deep twisted ribs at the base of the bowl and the fine vertical grooves along the middle of the bowl, with a star-shaped stem base.
These glasses date from the Charles X period (circa 1825–1835), a time when the Baccarat and Saint-Louis crystal factories produced very similar models, often making it impossible to attribute them with certainty to one manufacturer or the other.
Condition: excellent overall condition; no chips or other defects to report.
