6 Rare 1920's Tractor Advertising Posters With Odes To Cycling And Tour De France On The Back
Rare 1920s advertising posters, some with calendars, for WALLUT and MAC CORMICK tractors and farm machinery. There are 6 of them, featuring 3 different models.
These posters, on the reverse, served as a medium for a local "artist" who wrote, in his finest pen, of his love of cycling and his passion for the Tour de France during the years 1924 - 1925 (Bottecchia winner ).
His "odes", accompanied by clumsy, humorous drawings, celebrate the Queen of bicycles: the "VIOLINE", produced by the AUTOMOTO brand later absorbed by Peugeot, as well as certain racing cyclists of the era such as Bottecchia, Fontan, etc....
They are signed "PAU Junior".
Each poster is approx. 62 x 40 cm, priced at 90€ each, + postage, a price for the lot is possible.
Detailed photos are available on e-mail request.
