2 Tripod Shepherd's Stools, By Vacher, Early 20th Century
Two authentic antique tripod shepherd's stools, originally from the Pyrenees, early 20th century.
Beautiful walnut seats, "bowl" shape.
Elm legs, very flared, and ensuring perfect stability. The legs are crossed by pegs just below the seat to keep it level.
Very fine patina from use. Old traces of woodborers (perfectly eradicated!) on what used to be the sapwood of the seat.
Very stable, these two stools easily support the weight of an adult.
Perfect as sofa ends, bedside tables, fire corners...
Heights = 32 and 33.5 cm, seat diameters = 35 and 36 cm, footprint = 50 x 50 cm
Weight of both = 6.250 kg
Superbly cared-for shipping included.
