Candlestick In Meissen Porcelain
Created by Johann Joachim Kaendler and his collaborators around 1749, this tree-shaped candlestick with two candles depicts a boy mounted on a branch of the tree, removing eggs from the nest and giving to a peasant girl. The candlestick is decorated with delicate floral paintings around the rim. In good condition, leaves missing from the tree. Blue crossed swords mark and numbered 1253. Pairs with candlestick number 1160. Listed in the Meissen - Bergmann catalogue
