Six-chamber cylinder, centre-less action, marked ‘12860’.
Closed frame, steel, marked: ‘STARR. ARMS C°. NEW-YORK’ on one side and ‘STARR’S PATENT JAN. 15. 1856’ on the other; serial number ‘12860’.
‘C’ inspection marks on all parts.
Walnut stock with military inspectors’ acceptance marks.
Single and double-action operation with percussion cap firing.
