Superb and rare Kwandalha anthropomorphic vessel or healing pot, Cham-Mwana from Nigeria, in terracotta dating from the 19th century. This piece is to be compared with a similar model in the Barbier-Mueller collection in Geneva, referenced in the inventory and in the book devoted to this museum's African terracottas.
Beautiful crusty patina.
Good condition except for an old lack at the eye level, without affecting the beautiful aesthetics.
