Tyrolean-style Painted Cabinet, Dated 1817
Among antique Tyrolean furniture, this painted cabinet is a fine example of Alpine craftsmanship, featuring floral decorations on a weathered blue background.

The surface is entirely decorated in a dominant oxidized blue color scheme, interspersed with central and side panels in lighter shades, framed by fillets and linear motifs.
The front doors are divided by painted vertical panels, featuring stylized ornamental elements arranged symmetrically. A similar decoration is found on the sides, treated as independent narrative surfaces, in formal continuity with the front.
The projecting upper frame is embellished with a polychrome decorative band that visually completes the piece, while the lower frame echoes the color scheme of the rest of the structure.
Work performed on all our furniture:
– Structural restoration: replacement of small missing parts, filling of any cracks on the back panel, consolidation of deteriorated areas, inspection and repair of hardware.
– Thorough woodworm treatment.
– Cleaning and sanitization of the interior.
– Exterior finish with natural beeswax.
– Interior finish with shellac, a natural alcohol-based varnish.
