Grand Miroir à Fronton Style Louis XV , Epoque Napoléon III , Glace En Bois Et Stuc Doré, XIXe

Beautiful stucco and gilded wood mirror to hang over a mantelpiece or piece of furniture.
The four sides are composed of a beautiful molding representing a frieze composed of finely decorated and chiseled drapery, and small flowers in the intervals
The four corners are each embellished with a rehaut composed of a shell, two acanthus leaves and florets.
Our mirror is topped with an openwork pediment and composed of a central cartouche encircled by acanthus leaves and flowering stems.
Beautifully crafted at the end of the Napoleon III period, this lovely mirror has retained a beautiful patina of old gold color .
The mirror is original and in very good condition, with just three or four centimeters of barely visible oxidation.
Note a few small stucco chips, the most important being at the bottom left of the shell (see last photo with red arrow) and tiny cracks, all perfectly normal given its age.
