Napoleon III-era Swiveling Medallion-shaped Fireplace Screen, Oval Fireguard, 19th Century

A lovely swiveling fireplace screen from the Napoleon III period.
It has a medallion shape and consists of an oval, blackened-wood frame resting on a tripod base, all topped with a pretty central finial.
Our screen is adorned with a magnificent embroidered tapestry depicting a romantic scene. It is in very good condition and has retained its beautiful colors.
The back is lined with a solid-colored fabric featuring a dark vertical line, a mark caused by the central iron rod that allows the screen to rotate.
This wear is entirely normal given the system used at that time and the age of the object.
The entire piece is entirely original; the structure is solid and very stable for this beautiful and rare model.
