Large Antique Fireplace Mirror, Patina And Shell 96 X 148 Cm
Beautiful presence for this Napoleon III period mirror, Louis XV style. Large molding (10cm) with flowered egg decorations, row of pearls and chain. Its arch-shaped upper part is topped with an openwork shell. Finish: conservation of original gold leaf patinated on its edges and reliefs. Enhanced with old-fashioned patina in warm southern tones: ocher, sienna, terracotta, veil of gilding. Silver nitrate ice and wood background. Reference: Sully Prudhomme.
