Charming little commode sauteuse in the Transition Louis XV - Louis XVI style opening with two drawers in front.

Very elegant rosewood frieze veneer work forming chevrons, embellished with fillets and delicate marquetry scrolls on the drawers. The slightly curved front retains all the elegance of the Louis XV style, while the more sober lines already herald the Louis XVI taste.

The canted uprights are adorned with fine bronze falls and sabots. The piece is topped with an attractive molded brecciated marble top that perfectly matches the shapes of the frame.
