Walnut Console 18th
Very attractive 18thᵉ century console table, probably Provencal work, in richly molded and carved walnut, resting on an elegant double-movement cambered base of rare visual lightness.
This piece immediately captivates with its balanced proportions and small size, particularly sought-after today, allowing it to easily find its place in a refined interior, both classic and contemporary.
The curved front is embellished with a delicate carved decoration of shells and scrolls, typical of the southern rocaille taste of the XVIIIᵉ century. The walnut has a beautiful antique patina with warm, deep shades, highlighting the quality of the grain as well as the craftsmanship of Provençal cabinetmaking.
.The base, full of curves and counter-curves, lends the ensemble great elegance and remarkable finesse of execution. The scalloped spacer, also sculpted, reinforces stability while underlining the decorative character of this console.
It is topped with an elegantly sculpted, curved, counter-curved frame.
It is topped with its superb original marble in shades of morello cherry red nuanced with white, perfectly paired with the warmth of walnut. This antique top, with its delicately flowing contours, plays a full part in the room's authentic charm.
A beautiful console table.
A fine quality console table, at once decorative, refined and easy to integrate, testifying to the elegance of Provencal furniture from the XVIIIᵉ century.
