Painting Of Great Quality, On Porcelain, Elisabeth Vigée Lebrun, Signature A. Volk, Early 20thc

In oval format, on a porcelain medallion, this is a lovely portrait of Élisabeth Vigée Lebrun, after her famous self-portrait. Signature on the lower right: A. Volk. The biscuit back bears a label describing the subject, and on the wooden frame background is inscribed: "Elisabeth Vigée Lebrun, son portrait par elle-même, acheté au Caire auprès de la Maison Lafargue, 25.1.17" and another, unidentified inscription. The frame is missing.
Very good condition, no break or flaws, need to be framed. 
European working, probably German from the signature, dating from the late XiXth century or very early XXth.
