- Nude Female painted circa 1960 measuring 29cm x 24cm. Unsigned.
By Harry Buyck, 1928- 2017, Belgian painter and draughtsman born in Antwerp. Largely self-taught, but took courses at the Ghent Academy under Willy Sybrands. Draws inspiration from his fellow human beings, whom he captures at home, on the beach or in a café. He also paints landscapes, beach scenes, nudes, mother-and-child compositions and still lifes. Expressionist touch. Jozef Muls Prize, Guillaume Campo Prize, Noorderkempen First Prize and La Palette Martegale First Prize in France. He ran the Den Draak artists' café in Ghent from 1956 to 1959 and was instrumental in organizing a large number of art events in Flanders, supporting many new and established artists. He exhibited in Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. Artist listed at Arto and Piron. Coté Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...

The paintings, never cleaned, not dirty, are in perfect original condition.
