Early XVII Polished Cast Bronze Candlestick With Coat Of Arms For A South-west Cardinal
Artist: Inconnu
A polished cast bronze candlestick...
With its original wick...
Removable...
With gadrooned friezes...
And above all with an engraved armorial...
One of cardinal...!
I'm starting a search to find out which one...
It might be...?
Pierre de Bonzi, 1631-1703...
From TOULOUSE - FRENCH...
It's the closest to the coats of arms that I found...
From the end of the 17th century, around 1680...
From the SOUTH WEST - FRANCE...
In beautiful condition...
Just a tin resolder on the underside...
Some wear deformations around the base...
These can be rectified by a restorer...
Quotation on request...
And slight wear to the engraving which over time has noticeably become less sharp...!!!
A simple but chic model...
With a wide, doucine base...
I just cleaned and polished it a bit...!
