Bronze Animal , Seagull On Wave , Signed Lucien Gibert , Art Deco , Green Patina 1920
Ancient & elegant animal sculpture in bronze with shaded green patina depicting a seagull in full flight, rising above a stylized wave.
The set rests on a rectangular base of black marble veined with brown and gold, resolutely Art Deco.
The very fluid treatment of the wave, combined with the geometrical lines of the outstretched wings, evokes the aesthetics of the great decorators of the 1930s.
The sculpture features a fine cast quality and a deep patina
Signature "L. GIBERT" visible in the wave decoration.
