Pair Of Regence - Louis XV Style Small Bergères With Flat Backs,

Very attractive pair of Regence - Louis XV style bergères in waxed natural beech from the very late 19th/early 20th century ( circa 1900 )
Each seat rests on four cambered legs each terminating in a scroll.
The two front legs are richly carved with a shell at the top and an acanthus leaf at the bottom, just above the scroll.
The two side crosspieces , as well as the front crosspiece of the belt, are heavily scalloped and feature rich carving of foliage and shells.
The armrests are covered with a muff , both sides of our seats are in full fabric, revealing the entire armrest support.
The backrests are flat, the top of the back is straight and the entire backrest is covered in patterned satin fabric.
The upholstery is in very good condition, firm and very comfortable.
However, we would like to point out that the upholstery is in home condition, with visible wear at the front edge of the seats, but does not require immediate replacement. (These are indicated by red arrows, see last photos).
The set is embellished with a studded finish.
