Beautiful 18th century plate, in polychrome earthenware from La Rochelle, with a scalloped border and a pretty full decoration called: "peacock". Pretty decoration composed of a peacock, an insect, leafy tree, barrier, tufts, flowering stems, fruits and terrace. Rocks and terraces complete the decoration. Our plate is similar to model number 189 on page 100 of the catalog of the exhibition at the Orbigny Bernon museum in La Rochelle in 1988. We note some small chips (see photos).
