Meissen porcelain group depicting a woman and love (Dame mit Amor). The young woman, with her garter, bare knee and plunging neckline, embodies feminine sensuality. Her knee-length skirt reveals the full depth of her bewitching eroticism. Little Cupid, full of childlike innocence, is delighted by this perfect messenger. Paul Scheurich designed a figure of a lady with Cupid to illustrate a short poem, 'Das Strumpfband' [The Garter] by F.W. Gotter, published in *Damenbrevier 1920*. The model was created between 1919 and 1922 and was purchased by the manufactory on March 20, 1922.
