Meissen porcelain figurine of a monkey playing the bassoon (*Affe als Fagottist*) from the "Monkey Orchestra." Model created by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1753 and revised in 1765 with Peter Reinicke. Features the blue crossed-swords mark and model number 60019. In very good condition; restoration to the bassoon, 20th century. Listed in the Meissen catalogue (Bergmann).
