F. Verdier 17th - Large Drawing Trinité
François VERDIER (Paris 1651 - 1730)
La Trinité
Black stone and gray wash
45 x 29 cm - 66.7 x 52 cm
Stains, folds, old restored tears
Probably produced when Verdier was at the height of his career and art in Le Brun's workshops.
Perhaps a "modello" drawing either for a specific commission or to present during visits by potential commissioners, to show the type of project the workshop could produce.
Shipping offered and insured in mainland France. Can be seen and picked up at my stand at the Saint-Ouen flea market.
