Imposing High Period Capital - Late 12th Century

This applique capital rests on the base of a carved limestone columndecorated with crosses and trifoliate upright leaves. It wascarved during the last third of the 12th / early 13th century, when KingKing Philip II of France ruled the kingdom.Capital height 36.5 cm, width 57 cm.
Column base32 cm high by 55 cm wide and 36 cm deep.
Condition: a few accidents and restorations, notably on one corner.angle
Provenance: chapel in the Ile-de-France region
