Large and beautiful Louis XVI style gilt bronze clock ; "cage" model.
The white enamel dial ( diameter 16.5 cm !!! ) with Roman numerals for the hours , Arabic minute indication and gilt hands.
Signed on the dial"Le Paute à Paris".
The dial is surrounded by a ribbon and a laurel garland in ormolu.
Mounted in a gilt bronze case with bisauté glass on all sides.
At the base a gilded bronze frieze featuring puttis , creating a garland of love with wreath flowers.
The clock rests on a Cararre marble base and 4 rounded gilded bronze feet.
Hour striking , lasts approximately 8 days.
This clock is in good condition; the mechanism needs to be cleaned by a clockmaker.
