Chandelier And Its Two Matching Wall Lights

A sublime and rare Louis XVI style gilt bronze chandelier and two wall sconces.
Based on a design by Jean-Louis Prieur (1732-1795), sculptor and chaser, and one of the most illustrious bronze workers of the Neoclassical period.
Traditionally attributed to Pierre Gouthière (gilder and chaser to Kings Louis XV and Louis XVI).
An identical pair is held at the Château de Fontainebleau and a second pair at the Cleveland Museum of Art, USA.

19th century , circa 1860-1870.
