Suite Of Four Louis XV Carved And Gilded Wood Chairs

Composition: This set consists of two authentic Louis XV period chairs (18th century) and two 20th-century replicas, faithfully reproduced to create a perfectly matching and homogenous set of four pieces.

The frames are finely carved with rocaille motifs (shells, foliage clasps, and flower buds) across the rails, backs, and the tops of the cabriole legs. The traditional water-gilding (dorure à la feuille d'or) shows a natural, genuine wear that enhances the character and patina of the set.

All four chairs have been fully upholstered in a sumptuous silk from the prestigious Maison Tassinari & Chatel. The fabric is a crimson damask with a rocaille pattern, whose rich and intricate design complements the carved wood details perfectly (please note: minor wear to the fabric).
