Pair Of Louis XV Queen-size Armchairs 18th Century
Pair of large Louis XV queen-size armchairs in carved and waxed beech, 18th century. Their flat purplish backs are fitted with armrests resting on whiplash-shaped brackets. The wide seat with scalloped crossbar rests on four curved legs ending in shells. They are carved with flowers, acanthus leaves, cartouches, etc. The traditional upholstery has been redone and covered with a very bright damask in the taste of the period in shades of beige and light green.
