Fine miniature portrait on ivory of a Lieutenant de Chasseurs à Pieds, wearing the Légion d'Honneur. The dark blue uniform, daffodil collar, white vest, white epaulets and silver buttons are clearly visible. The miniature is presented in a carved blackened wood frame with a chased and gilded bronze window. Empire period, circa 1805-1810.
