Beautiful, strong European blade from the 17th century. Typical 17th century blade frequently found in Europe mounted on ItalianItalian Schiavonas, Scottish boadswords to Hungarian and Polishfrom Hungary and Poland. Blades that were obviously heavily exportedand prized in North Africa, as they are frequently found mounted on17th century nimchas.
At the level of the ricasso, presence of an Arab workshop hallmark.Probably the workshop that mounted the blade on the horn handle.
