Pink Chinoiserie Baluster Vase, Peach Handles, Staffordshire Style England XIX-xxth Century
Decorative ceramic vase with red chinoiserie decoration on a white background, English work in the taste of Staffordshire/United Wilson productions, early late 19th/early 20th century 1890s-1920s. Baluster shape with rectangular base and neck, pan-shaped body featuring a lakeside landscape with figures and vegetation, treated in dark pink transfer and enhanced by hand on the glaze, and raised side handles featuring leafy branches with stylized peaches. Brush mark under the base to be identified, probably workshop mark.
Height 25.5cm, max width 16cm, depth 11-12cm. Very good overall condition, note a firing crack on a leaf of one handle as well as a few other discreet, original ones. Slight patina especially on the neck and rim, discreet and in harmony with the style and age of the object. Approx. 1.2 kg.
