Pair Of Antique Ormolu Pikes, Gothic Style, 19th Century
Beautiful pair of large church pikes-cierges, altar furnishings, in gilt bronze, 19th-century French work in the Gothic taste. Metal with old patina, cylindrical shafts decorated with fleurons, openwork cups with quatrefoils surmounted by a point, openwork tripod bases in the same spirit. Beautiful decorative ensemble, presence and elegance, perfect indoors for a setting.
Total height 49-50cm, 42cm without spikes, width 15cm, diameter of cups 12cm. Very good overall condition, some traces of use and oxidation, defects consistent with age, harmonious patina. Approx. 1kg each, light because hollow.
