Bronze Candlesticks (pair) Style 17th Century
Beautiful execution for these objects made in four parts assembled by screwing.
The tripod base features three strongly curved faces, fitted with a fillet cartouche and camped on scrolled feet.
The shaft, fitted with several rings, tapers upwards to support a wide, grooved cup, itself fixed by the urn-shaped socket.
Scattered scratches and very acceptable wear from use, slight deformation to the cups, traces of oxidation (see detail photos).
Note: The thick, bright bronze approaches the quality of 17th-century models, with one detail that sets them apart: the more regular threads and screw threads.
