Exceptional, monumental pair of gilded bronze candelabra with 9 arm s; attributed to the eminent Parisian bronzier Pierre Philippe Thomire.
Pierre-Philippe Thomire ( 1754 - 1853 ) was the most important Parisian bronzier of the last quarter of the 19th century and the first decades of the century.
This pair of ceremonial candelabra is of superior quality, finely chased and gilded with mercury.
These candelabra were electrified in the 19th century, the base and arms are pierced.
