Max (Albert) Carlier was a Belgian painter, born in Tourcoing, France, in 1872 and died in Schaerbeek (Brussels) in 1938.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where he was influenced by the Impressionist and Realist styles of his time.
Carlier created nudes, female figures, interiors, still lifes, and floral compositions.
He had a rich and warm color palette and showed great attention to detail in his works.
Carlier is best known for his sumptuous floral arrangements and still lifes.
