Louis XVI period large flat desk, stamped C. C. Saunier, in satinwood veneer.

This 18th-century period desk, visible from all sides, features one side simulating drawers, while the other opens on the front with four drawers (one of which is double).
This flat desk is embellished with two wide sliding shelves coming to rest under the top, set with its original astragalus.
Parisian work of the Louis XVI period stamped Claude-Charles Saunier, accompanied by the JME sworn hallmark.

The drawers are adorned with gilded bronzes.
The uprights are decorated with drapery.
This desk rests on sheath-shaped legs terminating in gilded bronze square sabots.
The top is sheathed in green leather decorated with small gilded irons.

Usage and maintenance restorations.
This desk was originally adorned with gilded bronze frames, removed probably to lighten its appearance.
