Botellero Con Caja Italiana De Decoración En Técnica De Arte Povero. S XIX. 35,5 Ancho 35,5 De
This is a singular 19th-century bottle box, both a utilitarian object and a decorative piece of remarkable character and personality.
The corners and edges are reinforced with metal fittings (with some missing), as are the hinges and handles. A central lock, which also acts as a decorative element, completes the set.
The exterior of the bottle holder is a green-painted case decorated in the Italian Arte Povera technique, with country and equestrian scenes, made in the form of "decalscomanies".
Inside, it houses a set of blown glass bottles in good condition, with the exception of a few small chips on some neck edges. Of various shapes and sizes, some prove particularly decorative and fit the box's square structure.
The set is completed by two small truncated-cone glasses, which may suggest use even in travel contexts
