Mahogany Curtained Lounge Table, Louis XVI Style - Mid-19th Century
This Louis XVI-style side table, crafted in solid mahogany, opens at the front with a sliding "curtain" panel made of thin slats. The latter is adorned with a discreet, refined brass lentil knob and surrounded by brass baguettes. The upper shelf is topped with gray-veined Carrara marble, encircled by an openwork brass gallery. The uprights, subtly set with black wood fillet, are extended by turned legs ending in gilded hooves. They are embellished with light collars that reinforce their classic character, and are linked by a spacer shelf. The latter is highlighted by brass rods, providing additional storage space and stability. This table is a functional piece that also seduces with its small dimensions. Perfect for lovers of antique furniture or classic decor.
