Minaudière And Clutch Bag, Circa 1940-1950

Elegant gold-tone metal clutch, presented with its original black velvet pouch.
The compartmentalized interior is characteristic of mid-20th-century women’s toiletries cases: a built-in mirror, a powder compact with a puff, makeup compartments, a slot for lipstick, a comb, and a dedicated space for cigarettes.
One of the internal components (the lipstick) bears the inscription “Elizabeth Arden Paris,” indicating the use of products from this famous cosmetics house, though the set as a whole cannot be attributed to it.
With its simple, functional lines, this clutch bag is typical of the late Art Deco style. The presence of its original velvet case enhances the precious nature of this personal item, which is both practical and refined.
A decorative and evocative object, representative of women’s accessories from the period.

Condition: Good overall condition. Signs of wear. Interior partially preserved with original elements. Velvet case showing signs of age.
