A student of Alexandre Falguière, Roy and Louis-Auguste Hiolin, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1895.
Honorable mention in 1896 and, subsequently, a third-class medal in 1897, a second-class medal in 1899 and an honorable mention in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition. Also awarded a first-class medal at the 1910 Exhibition and participated, in 1912, in the Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition.
