A rare pair of Genoese sideboards in carved, lacquered, and gilded wood, made in the second half of the 18th century, during the Louis XVI period. The sideboards feature an elegant, undulating design, with a contoured front and rich carved ornamentation. The central section features a prominent acanthus leaf motif in relief, set on a molded base, while the upper part is decorated with stylized plant motifs. Of particular interest is the green/blue lacquer finish, typical of Ligurian production of the period, which combines with the gilding to create a highly decorative effect.These are well-crafted pieces, designed as furnishings that are both functional and ornamental. They are in good condition, with signs of wear consistent with their age. Sold as a pair.
