Unusual Clock French Timepiece By Lépine Officer's Travel

A rare travelling officer’s clock with a grand strike, signed by Lépine, established on Place des Victoires in Paris. On the top of the clock, a button triggers the strike on demand. On the underside, a lever allows the user to choose between three options: silent, small strike and grand strike. The small chime replaces the hourly strike at the top of the hour. Enamelled dial with Arabic numerals showing the hours and the alarm (adjustable on the back). Blue-steel fleur-de-lis hands. Bevelled glass. Serial number 31 608 Condition: case requires cleaning, a small chip on one side glass The balance spring is functioning and stops. On-demand striking mechanism in working order. Movement requires servicing
